There has been a lot of back and forth recently in Washington on the status of "Dreamers", or in other words, recipients of DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals).

Due to federal litigation, as of February 14, 2018, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS or "Immigration)" is accepting applications for DACA renewals again.  Even if your DACA status expired, you can still apply for a renewal, as long as it expired September 5, 2016 or later.

However, USCIS is still not accepting new DACA applications from people who have never received it before.

We at Law Office of Heidi Deifel P.C. are lobbying our Congresspeople for permanent relief for our Dreamers and a path to citizenship.  Meanwhile, let us help you determine if you’re eligible for DACA relief now by contacting us for an appointment.
